After a childhood immersed in an artistic environment (classical dance and early musical initiation with a grandmother who was a piano teacher), Geneviève obtained her degree in speech therapy and a teaching qualification for upper secondary education from UCL in 1981.

Passionate about child development, she first experienced — in a concrete and conscious way — the learning process and overall personality development of her three children over the course of ten years, before working as a speech therapist in collaboration with a primary school.

She took a keen interest in her daughters’ activities, particularly in the field of music (musical initiation, music theory, choir, piano, and music workshops).

In 1989, she discovered the Suzuki method (a method based specifically on how children learn their mother tongue). For about fifteen years, she attended all her children’s lessons and supervised their daily practice. She then became a student of Anne-Marie Oberreit, who offered her teacher training and taught her for many years.
